About the Workshop
Genevieve Carson will teach an advanced/professional level class where participants will learn about the core technique and contemporary dance style of the LA Contemporary Dance Company. This includes a juicy warm-up focused on releasing and lengthening through the natural structure of the body, progressions, floor work, and improvisation scores. The workshop will culminate with participants learning sections of LACDC’s repertory next to company members, focusing on grounded, nuanced movement vocabulary and presence in performance quality.
