FROM THE DIRECTOR
I’m thrilled to gather with all of you on April 25th to celebrate 17 years of FACT/SF! The company continues to thrive and, with increased impact here at home and across the country, we have much to celebrate.
FACT/SF remains steadfast in our commitment to artists, the value of art, and the importance of equity across our field and throughout society more broadly. Our vision is simple: a world in which artists can make the work they want, with the people they want, and for the people they want.
The FACT/SF vision is becoming a reality. And, that’s possible because we understand the power of community and the many things that are able to happen by working together.
Creating art is collaborative, and collaboration is also an essential component for sustaining and growing a robust, experimental, diverse, inclusive, and forward-thinking arts ecology. At FACT/SF, working together is both the practice and the model.
I so look forward to seeing you at the gala, sharing our newest work with you, and partnering together to ensure that our shared vision continues.
Onward is the way,
~Charlie Slender-White, FACT/SF Artistic Director
Guest information FORM
If you haven’t yet, please fill out the following form to share with us your choice for dinner entrée, and any dietary restrictions. This form is required for each guest.
date & time
April 25, 2025, 6pm-10pm
location
Green Room, San Francisco War Memorial Veterans Building
401 Van Ness Ave (across from City Hall)
San Francisco, CA
suggested attire
The gala is black tie optional. From the FACT/SF perspective, that means wearing something special that you feel comfortable in. Maybe the gala is an opportunity to try out a bold new look, or maybe it’s a night to get reacquainted with one of your favorite ensembles from yesteryear. We imagine guests at the gala will be in ball gowns, tuxedos, prom dresses, suits, cocktail dresses, tulle skirts, jumpsuits, palazzo pants, top hats, tiaras, and more.
Order of Events
Doors open at 6pm.
Please arrive between 6pm and 6:30pm. There will be a series of pop-up performances by FACT/SF in the Green Room at this time, so be sure to arrive within this window to catch them all! Note that we may not be able to admit late arrivals after 6:45pm.
When you get here, you will be greeted by our staff just inside the building’s main doors on Van Ness Ave, and then guided across the lobby to the elevator to head up to the Green Room on the second floor.
After checking in upstairs, you will enter the Green Room where you can enjoy appetizers and an open bar, explore the pop-up performances taking place throughout the space, mingle on the Loge overlooking Van Ness Avenue and City Hall, and have your photo taken by photographer Robbie Sweeny.
The evening’s main FACT/SF performance will begin around 7pm.
At 7:30pm, guests will take their seats for dinner. Dinner will be punctuated by short speeches and an opportunity to support FACT/SF’s future.
Following dinner, we will have dessert, continued celebration, and a short dance party. We will begin to wrap up the gala around 9:45pm.
